porchetta pork roast Umbrian street food

This 4-days tour in Umbria is perfect for those who wish to enjoy one of Italy most popular street food: Porchetta! So mark these date: 21-25 May 2020 and prepare to over-indulge!

Porchetta is one of Italy’s the most popular street food: a whole roasted pig with crispy skin and an unmistakable rich and herbal flavor. There many regional variations, but the Umbrian Porchetta takes pride in holding the original recipe, with savoury meat generously seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, wild fennel and rosemary or lard. The slow roasted pork is sliced and served sandwiched in a crusty bread roll, straight in the market fair.
