Stunning beauty, the #CinqueTerre’s heroic viticulture: a project to relight a whole valley and to build a farm. Nowadays as Samuele said, “you can see why our wines are properly priced ..” Yes, totally! I know that when there is the sun everything looks more beautiful and personally I was starving to see the sun […]

Colli Piacentini, Emilia wine tour
Emilia Romagna I feel to write these notes just after the weekend over the Colli Piacentini (hills of Piacenza), in the province of #Piacenza: the emotions are still strong that it would be different in a few days when the head would take over them. I’ve just returned home from an unforgettable two days where […]

The best experience of my life!
Finding Barbara and Wine Link Italy was a blessing. We took the 4 day Wine and Pasta tour with 2 of our closest friends and it was more than we could have ever imagined. Barbara (who we now call Babs, because she’s our new best friend!) put together a completely personalized 4 day tour of her favorite restaurants, sites, wineries, olive oils mills, and we even went to the oldest brewery in Perugia. She gets to know all of her clients before they arrive, so that she can customize every tour she gives. Everything was taken care of for us, down to the INCREDIBLE Bed and Breakfast we stayed at. (side note: you must stay at Alla Madonna Del Piatto and take one of Letizia’s cooking classes.) Every moment of our trip was so thoughtfully planned out by Babs. We were stuffed with the most delicious wine and food 24 hours a day and never had to think about what we were doing or where we were going next, not to mention we learned SO much about the history of the Umbrian region. Babs is such a wonderful person to guide you on your Italian adventure and we can’t wait to go back to Italy and see what Babs has in store for us next. Choosing Wine Link Italy will be the best decision you can make while traveling in Italy.
The best travel decision I have ever made!
Words will not be able to give proper justice to the most amazing four days we spent with Barbara in Umbria! The Pasta and Vino Tour was more than we (2 couples in their 30s) could have ever expected. The tour was adventurous yet relaxing, delicious, and extremely educational. Barbara is an expert not only of the geography of the region, but also its incredible offerings, mainly wine, olive oil, and food! She was so informative and fun to be with. I cannot wait to return to Italy and book another tour with Barbara. Highly recommended – it will be the best part of your trip.

A Truly Memorable Vacation
This is the second year that we have traveled with Barbara. This trip was through Southern Tuscany, Umbria & Abruzzo. Her in-depth knowledge of the area, personal connections with the local people, and personality made this trip truly memorable. We would absolutely recommend Barbara and Wine Link Italy to anyone traveling through Italy. There’s no way to personally experience the amazing food, wines and beauty of Italy without her!
Our best day in Umbria!
We were lucky enough to find Barbara and we had a fantastic day–we visited three wineries, had lunch and dinner and attended the parade of the “Giostra della Quintana – La Rivincita” We visit Umbria every year and have found the best person to organize our trips in the region—book with her, you won’t be sorry!! I wish we would have found her earlier!

Visit to two wineries and olive pressing factory
Absolutely marvellous, Barbara picked us up on time and from the outset made us very welcome. She gave us a very informed view of local culture regarding the wines and the olive oil grown in the area. This was backed up with visits to a design winery in Bevagna and a more traditional one in Montefalco as well as an olive oil producer. This was split with lunch at a local trattoria in Bevagna where we were treated to the most marvellous lunch. Even though it was just my wife and I there was never a dull moment and I could not fault the attention that was given to us. Barbara was an excellent host/guide and would thoroughly recommend her tour to anyone visiting Umbria.
